Sound Blaster Live! Not working in Redhat 9

Firstly i'm running a 400 mhz celeron gateway mini tower model with redhat 9 installed. My soundcard is a pci soundblaster live! 5.1 card which when I run soundcard detection is found, however when i try the test sound i get nothing then i get a response that test sound failed: no sound will be available on this system. Any idea whats going on?

'man modprobe'

can be invoked with IRQ/DMA settings.
This is what you need.
