sound blaster AWE64 problem

I just moved my system to a tyan S1854 mother board
now nether will my sound blaster or my opl based sound card show up in the out put of pnpdump or work with any values I use to try to configure them
the sound blaster was working (on the last mother board it was in )
with out an isapnp config entry

I have been all over /proc looking for a conflict and can't find one

could the isa slot be messed up on this mother board ?

That was going to be my first idea about setting certain IRQ to ISA mode till i got to the end. No other ideas. Have you thought about replacing the card for a cheap pci card?
That would be my only idea.
