I see this happen a lot on huge forums on these, people post a question that gets pushed back and never given the light of day for more than a couple hours. Is it then not fair to repost it? In my case this is a very urgent matter that need to be resolved. I mena not to bpush anyone, but I think in this sort of case it was reasonable to multi post it.
My apologies anyhow.

And so would everybody else, with the outcome that
the reposts "push" each other out of sight at an even faster
rate, only achieving a silly vicious circle and a heck of a
waste of forum space.
So the answer is: no, it's not fair, and not reasonable. And
that's for both bumping and cross-/multi-posting. Read the
rules again, they're there because they make sense for
the community, not to keep you happy.
And to anyone else on the forum your matter is no more
urgent than any other matter. We're all here in our spare
time, if you feel that you need extra attention go and hire
a consultant or system engineer. The boards are here to
help a lot of people in everyones own good time, not to
serve as blaza's help-desk.
[edit]
In addition to that: many forum members are in the habit
of searching posts with 0 replies out, and responding to
those (there's a search-button that does exactly that). So
it doesn't matter whether you're on the first, second or
third page, and, more over, if you don't BUMP your thread
by adding another post it's even MORE likely to be found.
Thus, abiding by the rules makes support more likely.

That said, such matters aren't meant to be discussed in
the forum, either, but rather taken into an e-mail to the
mod you wish to discuss the issue with.
Cheers,
