something on Linux like Scheduler Tasks on NT


what does Linux have have similar to Scheduler Tasks on NT??? On NT, I can write a scripts and save it as .BAT and run as scheduled time. How can I do that on Linux, Any resource I can use??? Or any docs someone can refer me to???

On Linux, you can save shell scripts as .SH, actually, you don't need an extension, and run them at scheduled times with cron.

I have no clues of how cron work as well as .sh

Is there any docs or source I can learn from????

There's a zillion on Google. Search for "bash script" or "cron".
