Something Different
Hi,
I am running a dual boot system, running both Suse Pro 9 and WinXP. My goal is to achieve maximum running time on Linux, without intervention from my side. I would like to somehow configure WinXP to reboot automatically after one hour of not being used (somehow thru the screen saver?) - any suggestions? GRUB is already configured to boot SUSE by default, but then I encounter my second problem: how do I make Linux (kdm?) skip the authentication section, and simply log in the system without prompting for a login name and password? I would appreciate any help, Thank you in advance. |
Windoze question:
May be u can try powermanagement section KDM: Suse 9 i think has a bug in it. U manually have to edit /opt/kde/share/apps/kdm/kdm.conf or something like that 'cos the kdm config kde control centre is buggified by suse ;) |
