Software RAID1
Hey guys when i installed centos in by box, i setup a software raid1 /dev/hda5 & /dev/hda6 which is mounted on /RAID and i put some files on it. And now i would like to test if /RAID will still contain its files if one of the device hda5 or hda6 fails. How can i test it?

Also is it possible to mount the device hda5 or hda6 to a different directory? i did try it but its says device is already mounted even if i unmount it, and commented its entry on the fstab.

Testing, I am not too sure about - you can try mounting it to a specific directory with "mount" and specifying the file system, example:

# mount -t ext3 /dev/hda5 /mnt
As for the second item in your post, I ran into the same problem - if you have EVMS installed, try removing it.
