So my boot problem is fixed....

But now I can't get the system to recognize my mouse! It says something about some usb drivers not in, which I find rather dumb... what OS doesn't have firggin' USB drivers? All help appreciated.

first off. HORRID job of titling. I came in here solely to bitch about that but I figured I'd try to help you even though I don't use redhat.
Copy the mouse section of your XF86Config and post it here.

You obtain your XF86Config from /etc/X11/XF86Config

In the config, if you want to tinker a bit, you should check if the protocal is set to ps/2 or imps/2
imps/2 is usb
I don't know about redhat but in slack the device is /dev/input/mice
