jjthomas Member Registered: Jan 2004 Location: Tacoma, WA Distribution: Slackware 14 Posts: 265 Blog Entries: 2 Rep:	snd_emu10k1 causes kernel panic and and hard reset required. Several distro's It seems to occur with a distro that uses alsa-lib 1.0.14 or later. The problem seems to be with snd_emu10k1. Is there a way to prevent this from loading while booting of a CD or DVD? Once I get the DVD booted and everything running I can blacklist the module, but I have to get the distro installed first. -JJ
