smaba server config

I cant start my samba server config on the graphical interface and when I type in "redhat-config-samba" using the terminal I get this error

"File "/usr/share/redhat-config-samba/redhat-config-samba.py", line 20, in ?
mainWindow.MainWindow(debug_flag)

File "/usr/share/redhat-config-samba/mainWindow.py", line 58, in __init__
self.samba_data = sambaParser.SambaParser(self)

File "/usr/share/redhat-config-samba/sambaParser.py", line 24, in __init__
self.parseFile()

File "/usr/share/redhat-config-samba/sambaParser.py", line 55, in parseFile
token = self.createToken(line)

File "/usr/share/redhat-config-samba/sambaParser.py", line 127, in createToken
token = sambaToken.SambaToken(sambaToken.SambaToken.SAMBA_TOKEN_KEYVAL, (name, value), self.parent)

File "/usr/share/redhat-config-samba/sambaToken.py", line 20, in __init__
raise AttributeError, value
AttributeError: ('share modes', 'no')"

I dont understand why I get these errors because I've never altered these files in any way. I didn't even know that such files exist.
I setup my RH9 to be a PDC for a domain but I only changed my smb.conf. Could this have altered the fore-mentioned files in some way?
Does anyone have any idea as to what could've happened?
What can I do get my samba config working again, as I dont how I should modify the above mentioned files.

I think you misunderstood me, I meant I type in "redhat-config-samba" from the terminal inside X, not the actual terminal. I still dont understand why and how those files could've been changed without me personally changing them.

P.S.

How do I get swat going?

you can run testparm ,see if system can give you smb.conf file which you ever modified.
