Slackware 9.1 Volume
How do I turn the system volume up in WindowMaker on Slackware 9.1? I know that the sound devices are configured correctly because if they weren't then there would be some type of error message of /dev/dsp. But anyways, anyone have a solution?

Use a mixer tool, may be alsamixer !!!
as root, run alsaconf. <<---- this is for configuring ur soundcard. Then run aslmixer <<<------- this is for changing volume. then run "/usr/sbin/alsaconf store" <<--------- this is to save the volume changes |
Thanks man, that worked.

np chris,
btw ur signature is really dangerous to newbies!!! And there is a mistake in my earlier post: for storing the mixer settings, its: /usr/sbin/alsactl store i had typed "/usr/sbin/alsaconf store" er.. sorry for the typo |
