Single user mode with Lilo


I can't figure out why at the lilo boot: prompt when I type "linux single" it doesn't understand and goes back to the prompt. Am I forgetting something? I'm using Redhat 9. Thanks!

Nevermind. I figured it out. I just typed in the image fillowed by "single" or "1" even works and it came up.
