Shutdown Gnome Menu for non-root user?

Does anybody know how I can add a shutdown menu under gnome for a non-root user? When I log in as 'michael' on Slackware 9.1, my only option is 'Log Out', but when I log in as 'root' I also have 'Restard' and "Shutdown'. How can I set those menus up for my other accounts?

In stock Slackware, there isn't a way, short of changing permissions to allow you to do this. There are ways to allow this, but my quick Google search didn't turn up anything, and I don't know off the top of my head. That is one option, here is the other:

You can also go the Dropline Gnome route. It is a very nice Gnome version designed specifically for Slackware users, and allows normal users to shutdown, reboot, etc. It has many other features too, but that is one you will be interested in! Something to consider. The URL is: http://www.dropline.net/gnome/

Dropline does extensive modifications to Gnome, basically replacing the whole thing, and you can't uninstall it, but if that's fine with you, it's a very nice implementation. I ran it for about a year before I went back to stock Gnome, but had no problems.
