Shrink Windows Partition from Fedora

Hi, everyone. I want to move my /home to its own partition, so I need to shrink both my Linux partition and my windows partition to make room. Right now, I have 42 gigs of free space on my Windows partition, defragged it, but Windows wouldn't let me shrink the partition. Does anyone know a way to do this directly from Linux?

Use a program called GParted. Or you can boot with System Rescue CD, it comes with GParted.

If you are happy to work from the command line, use 'ntfsresize'.

Given that the question needed to be asked I would caution against accepting the suggestion of @allend.
ntfsresize is easy (and safe) to use; the subsequent resizing of the partition itself significantly less so.

Use gparted - it'll do it all for you.

The precautionary warning point is well made. Gparted is the easy and convenient option. I merely intended to point out that there is an alternative path using the tools underlying Gparted that does not require any additional software.

I used Gparted and it worked great. However, now I need to create the partition to use for my /home. I tried using Gparted, but it says I can't have more than 4 primary partitions. The one I have now are: 2 in Windows(System and TI105847W0F), and 2 in Linux (which don't have any names, but one of them says /boot). Is there any way I can have the fifth partition?

You will have to create an extended partition. Try using gparted. It might let you create a partition without formatting. I am not sure though.

I decided that since I don't use Windows anymore, I deleted it's partition, and just used its space for my home partition.
