shortcuts

I'm relatively new to the Linux world. I'm getting into Linux again now for my third time, and it gets better every time. I think this is it--the third time's the charm; I can't ever imagine going back to Windows. Anyway, I use KDE, and one of my favorite things in it is discovering a new shortcut. For example, you can resize a window by holding ALT and dragging the right mouse button. That's just so handy, and makes life a tiny bit easier.

I'm always wanting to learn more of these nifty tips that are not so widely-known. I thought a good way to get a collection is to ask everyone their favorite KDE shortcut, hotkey, or helpful tip. In Gnome too for that matter, but I'm partial to KDE. I think many other users could also be exposed to these tricks with such a collection.

Bottom line:
What's you favorite KDE or Gnome tip, trick, hotkey, shortcut?
