sharing cdrom

hello guyz

what is the best way to share the cdrom drive of my rh9 server. i tried doing it in samba but the problem is when the task is done ... i cant eject/umount the cddrive ... what are some possible solution for this ... pls shed me some light

thanks in advance

To eject you have to make sure it's unmounted. If you want to eject remotely you''ll need to get the eject package. You'll probably have it on your (RH9) CD somewhere.

The problem is once the drive is accessed and for lack of better words samba still remains connected to it. So you can not unmount/eject the drive because its sill considered busy. The only way would be to restart samba.

I remember a post awhile back with the same problem. You might want to do a search.
