setting up email client

I am using exchange 5.5 as my email server
when I configure linux mail client (evolution) to connect my server it gives following error

error while 'fetching mail'
could not connect to POP server 192.168.4.4 (port 110): connection refused

"telnet 192.168.4.4 110 " from your linux box to check if your linux can't see the port 110 opened on 192.168.4.4 .

So you can't connect to the 110 port opened at your exchange server, then check your network connection and firewall settings.
