Set smbpasswd password in a script

I'm using
Code:
sudo smbpasswd -a pi
to add user pi to Samba and I really would like to script adding the password and stop it asking a user as I'm trying to write an install script.

Can I do this?

regards

Simon

At first glance, that seems way too complicated to try and do inside of an automatic samba install script

But I'll look at it again in the morning

The thought was to configure the host & client so no password was needed.

I'm trying to do this to make a simple auto install script and I don't understand the code you've linked to

It looks like a lot of trouble just to avoid the user having to type in a password twice

But Thanks
