Set Numlock ON and STAY ON

Is there a way to have Linux start-up, set Numlock to ON, and then disallow the Numlock key from being toggled OFF? In other words, I want it to be ON at all times and never be able to turn OFF. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Check your BIOS settings.

If you use KDE, open Control Center > Peripherals > Keyboard > then "Turn On" NumLock on KDE Startup.

Or you can get numlockx > http://www.mike-devlin.com/linux/README-numlockx.htm

SqdnGuns, do your options keep the NumLock ON permanently...or, just turn it ON at startup? I need it "locked" in the ON setting.

If your BIOS setting has that option, it should, and a combination of the other recommendations I made, you should be good to go.
