Cool Sendmail to Imap


Hi All

Who know's what is involved in configuring a Sendmail sever to a Imap sever.?

huh? you can't send mail TO an imap server.. imap is for user mail retrival, not sending. if you want to make mail become located on the same server as the imap server process, then that server would need an smtp server on it, or some form of manual or automated file transfer from the orignal mail location.

Thanks for the quick response, but what i want to know is what is involved in configuring a sendmail server to and Imap server.? We already have a working Sendmail server. We what to make it into a Imap server, so what is involved in configuring in to a Imap server.?

pick an imap server, read the documentation....

generally they are prety simple, as they don't erally do that much. you might find that you need to chose your imap server to correctly match it's mail box reading support to the form of mailbox that you are storing mail in from sendmail. if it's a Maildir box, then try courier-imap. if it's just flat mbox stuff then uw-imap would probably be more suitable.
