Sendmail Quota not working

Hi all,

I need serious help here.

I'm using Sendmail 8.12.8-9.90 here on Redhat Linux 9 here.

After i've edquota for user, i found that the quota not actually being updated while the user login to their webmail. The quota size didn't increase as edited in edquota.

Any clues what happen to my mail server? I've tried some guide for quotacheck and fstab, i guess i already have the correct edit in fstab. I've also tried remount... Any ideas why my sendmail's quota can't follow the settings in /home/aquota.user?

Please help, i'm struggling for couldn't adjust the mailbox size for an important employee position.

You probably need to setup a quota on the /var directory for each user as well since that is where the mail spools and is delivered to.

According to what u said, how to set a quota at /var/? Is that by following all those standard Quota How-To?

touch /var/quota.user?
touch /var/quota.group?

Any others config i need to consider? How about fstab? Remain?

Yes, follow the standard quota howto but do it instead for /var, most of them will use /home as the example.
