sendmail

my sendmail configuration takes 'too long'; i know there are ways to speed the boot up, but i can't recall what they are - does anyone have a suggestion? i'm running redhat 9 with 2.4.20-8 linux kernel.

Sendmail does'nt configure at boot it just starts

The only reason I can think of why sendmail takes a long time to start on boot is if it's searching for a domain name

Do you have a FQDN or any DNS issues

Try restarting Sendmail from the command line then check your mail logs for errors
