Sending files over serial port.

Hello.

I made a nice mess for myself :)

I have an old laptop that has no CD or floppy-drive and I wanted to install Linux on it, so I used loadlin to boot Slackware's install, made partitions and then I saw that I can't install it from anywhere :D (I somehow remembered that I could use SLIP to transfer files.)

And well, now the laptop is just sitting there (I can't reboot it because theres nothing to reboot to)

I have a null modem cable connected to it and I can send text to it by cat and now I'm wondering could I somehow send a tar'd system to the laptop through the serial port? Then I could just untar it and install LILO.

The machine has also an Nokia C110 PCMCIA wireless lan card, but no drivers = no luck.

Thank you for your reply.

That would have probably solved my problems, but we had a power cut at night, and the laptops battery is dead, so game over.

I just have to get an adapter so I can get the hard drive to my desktop PC :)
