some directories will be different... from what ive seen there are a couple of ways to look at a cd on linux...
>mount /dev/cdrom
this will actually mount the cd drive...windows doesnt use this usually...
>cd /mnt/cdrom OR >cd /cdrom
this will put you actually in the directory
>ls
this is similar to <dir> in dos... it will list the top levels in the directory you are in
wanna "unmount" the cd? because yull notice with linux that your cdrom will not let you take the cd out until yu unmount it...
>umount /mnt/cdrom OR >umount /cdrom
