screen resolution in centos

hi all,
i m using centos 5.but i am unable to set screen resolution.i shows only on half part of monitor/LCD.how can i fix this problem?its urgent.

install system-config-display (if not done)

#su
root password
#system-config-display

Also post output of

#lspci -v
