Question Screen capturing in RedHat


hi all,
does anyone know how to capture a screen in linux.I am using Redhat-7.2.
if anyone have any idea abt it,plz let me know.

If you have the KDE environment installed, use the ksnapshot utility.

AND DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TU CAPTURE A SEQUENCE OF SCREENS LIKE A "VIDEO" IN LINUX?

actually i just ,don't want to capture the screen only,also i want to read the screen in a text file.
Basically i want to read a linux-cobol screen to get a particular field in a text file.
How can i do that in RH linux ?
Plz Let me know.

Huh? What is this the Matrix? Do you mean you want to convert the images on your screen into an ASCII represantation of it?
