Unhappy Scocket communication problem

I have a client-server program . The programs communicate each other through socket. The strange thing is on RH-7.2 The communication between the client and server fails to connect the socket if both are run in 2 defferent clearcase views. But works fine if both are run in same views.
The program doesn't involve any libraries related to view. But the same code when tested on Solaris works fine in different views also.
Any idea why this behaviour ?
