SAMBA + IPMasq = ????

Hi

First, my current setup: 1 redhat 8 box w/ 2 NIC, IP Masq
internet, to
eth0=192.168.1.3, to
eth1=192.168.0.1, to
switch,to
WIN98SE at 192.168.0.2.

I have been running samba for a few months now, and it was easy enough to set up. My ISP gave me a Lucent DSL modem + router combo. I was previously set up with all connected to switch, then switch to router, and 192.168.1.2 on MS box.

I set up IP Masq+ my own firewall ruleset last night. Now samba doesn't fully work for me, I can access shares on linux box from itself, ms box from itself, but I cannot see linux box from windows, and I cannot access windows box from linux, or access linux from windows.

thanks in advance
Ian

Just some more info here:

I can ping all machines involved, i can connect to linux box with ssh, irc, http, telnet, ftp; and I can connect to outside world from windows box.

SWAT shows samba as not running, put ps -e says otherwise!

I searched for hours and found nothing to help me!!

Any thoughts???

Ian
