samba failure

I have a really simple smb.conf setup but when I try
"smbclient //172.16.20.5/backup -Umrsamba%password" it failed saying -

Domain=[BACKUPSERVER] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.0.22-13.16-SUSE-SLES10]
tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME

I added the user on Linux (adduser) and samba (smbpasswd -a mrsamba)

Here's my /etc/samba/smb.conf

Code:
[global]

        netbios name = backupserver
        encrypt passwords = yes
[everyone]
        comment = All groups
        path = /backup
        read only = No
        browsable = yes
        valid users = mrsamba
If I type "testparm" command it shows -

Code:
Load smb config files from /etc/samba/smb.conf
Processing section "[everyone]"
Loaded services file OK.
WARNING: passdb expand explicit = yes is deprecated
Server role: ROLE_STANDALONE
Press enter to see a dump of your service definitions

[global]

[everyone]
        comment = All groups
        path = /backup
        valid users = mrsamba
        read only = No

Your share name is what is between the [] i.e. everyone. What you are sharing is /backup. Therefore the correct syntax is:

smbclient //172.16.20.5/everyone -Umrsamba%password
