hey,

just installed slackware 8.1

installed webmin coz i didnt know how to turn samba on, and got webmin to do it for me.

i put in \\192.168.0.102\ in my browser on another computer on the network and it wont find samba on the linux computer. that's the correct ip :(

would anyone have any ideas?

Well, any type of errors ? Can you see your Linux box in your Network neighborhood ??
And you say webmin started samba for you, but did you check to make sure it was really running ??

Look at your Samba-logfile?
Check wether samba is actually running?
