in console, you would use chkconfig
if u use mandrake or redhat
you could find a gui configuration tool.
plz, specify your distribution, people will let you know where u can find it

under mandrake
configuration->other->mandrake control center

when i try "chkconfig --add samba" it says "error reading information on service samba: No such file or directroy.". I tryed "chkconfig --add /usr/sbin/samba" to but the same message came. Any solutions? The file is a "shell script" that starts 2 other "Executables", "smbd -D" and "nmbd -D".

(It works writing samba start, stop, restart, status in the console)
