run command with maildrop

I would like to know if it is possible to run a command, with parameters (a wget actually) based on what address an email was sent to.

I'm running Postfix+Courier-IMAp+MySQL with a virtual mail setup, and based on what I've seen in my configs, I'm usign maildrop for local delivery to my maildirs.

I can't seem to locate a maildroprc file however.

Please advise.
Thank you.

Maildrop will deliver mail with or without maildroprc. If it doesn't exist, it'll deliver the message without any filtering. This file can be created so that you can filter. I'm not sure where your particular instance of maildrop checks for maildroprc (you'll need to find that out) but you'll need to create it there. And yes, you can run commands from this script. It's syntax is much like perl but it's *not* perl.

Commands would be typed out as you would in a bash script except it needs to be encapsulated with back ticks. EX: `wget URL_PATH`
