i think of the questions as for the same purpose. i phrased it with an editor as an example to illustrate just one real case, not to focus on it. but i cannot control how people think about the parts. i can now see that it makes sense to focus on what editor since narrowing the scope of a question can find an answer to that exact question. if i had gone into full detail i think i would have lost too many readers (probably have, now).

it sure seems to be an environment issue combined with how to provide input in the correct way for that type of environment.
