RPM not working

Hey,
I'm running Redhat 7.2 and rpm doesnt work, here is the output when i try to install something:

Quote:
[root@rob share]# rpm -ivh tcpdump-3.6.2-9.i386.rpm
Preparing... Segmentation fault
It use to work, and then sometimes i would get an error about the rpm db (perhaps it is corrupt? is that possible?) and now it just doesnt work at all.

Any ideas?

Try running:

rpm --rebuilddb

That should fix your rpm database if it's corrupt.
