rpm doesnt work


Hi all

how do i fix this problem when i try to query rpms i get these error messages:
# rpm -q *
package asse.dat is not installed
package cabextract-1.1-1.i386.rpm is not installed
package __db.001 is not installed
package __db.002 is not installed
package __db.003 is not installed
package Desktop is not installed
package docs is not installed
package font_mix is not installed
package font_mix.zip is not installed
package java_rpms is not installed
package jisql.prp is not installed
package Pdebug.txt is not installed
package perlbkup is not installed
package scripts is not installed

I cant even do "rpm --rebuilddb". It doesnt do anything.

These error messages are irrelevent. If you want to list all of the packages in the rpm data base use:

rpm -qa | sort | less

ok i think i fixed it.... basically i had to take fedora core 2 cd which is my distro and reinstall rpm package. Once i reinstalled it everything came back to normal. Thanks guys.
