Talking rpm check the removal


Hi! I want to start removing some packages from my system... I need to do it from the consolesing ONLY the rpm command with its parameters...
I want to know how i can remove the packages virtually...... I just want to know if a package can be removed or not succesfully without having uninstalling it....
So i need virual remove using some parameters of the rpm command...
any suggestions?

a i forgot

I also need to know how much disk space a is required by a package before installation....
I want also to know how much disk space an installed rpm package allocates....
Don;t tell em about df and dh because i think that each package is installed in different locations
