Do you have GTK installed? And the appropriate dependancies for ROX?

Sorry to dig up this old thread, I was going to downwload the source and complile it for my Slack9.1, but I saw these 3 versions for Rox now, which one is the one that I should download and compile?

rox-2.0.1.tgz [ Mirrors, GPG sig ] (source code)
rox-linux-x86-2.0.0.tgz [ Mirrors ] (GTK+-2.0 Linux x86 binary)
rox-linux-x86-2.0.1.tgz [ Mirrors ] (GTK+-2.2 Linux x86 binary)

Thanks!

Why not post a new thread? These aren't really all that closely related.

Why are they all 3 tgz? You want the first one if they're accurately labeled and you want to compile it yourself. But I'd hit the rox homepage and make sure I was grabbing the straight source and the latest version. Unless that's what that is. Saying it's source means uncompiled source; saying it's binary means they're precompiled binaries.

Thanks digiot, I copied these 3 from rox web site. I will try out the 2 first to see if they work, otherwise i will post a new thread. I am thinking of using rox-filer in conjunction with flux. I like the minimalist approach of flux, but don't seem to find a file manager in it, so...
