Linksys 10/100 Network Card or 3com 10/100 etherlink PCI

well thats it really, any suggestions advice will be greatly appreciaTED

oh sorry i need to be able to do the following with it too

i have a home network mainly windows 1 other Linux box so all need to be able to connect to the internet through this Router Box, also im a newbie with linux so a user friendly GUI would be nice and i must be able to access it remotely as i have no moniter to dedicate to it,

I use ClarkConnect for just such purposes. Once installed, you can run it headless, and connect either with SSH or through a web-browser.

IPCOP. basicaly you boot with the CD in the drive, wait, reboot the system without the CD and you are set for a basic firewall/NAT router ready to go.

for advanced configuration its all there too.

enjoy.

It's a standard bootable CD image.

There is a boot floppy available on the same page. You can use it to install from the internet. It might also support installing from CD, I don't remember.

I use smoothwall, tho I don't know if it supports the modem or not. It also allows ssh and web interface...
