hey ...

since my first install a while ago ... i couldnt get the internet ... im on hi-speed with sympatico ... i browsed and browsed ... and found a pppoe client called roaring penguin ... DL'ed ... both client and GUI ... but the client doesnt seems to install itself ... it says 2 installations complete ... but when i try to reinstall ... it says that only the gui has been installed ... btw my network card aint setup ... i guess thats important ... maybe the causes of the troubles ... i dont have all the info i need to install ... im not a dynamic (at leas i dont think so, aint dsl static? ive read about both)

Why dont you start off by telling us what distribution of linux you have?

also, your network could depend.. i think most dsl is static but it could be dynamic.. you can usually with any distro setup your network card with the netconfig command..
