Right Shift key not working correctly

Seems like an odd one this, but my right shift key on my Dell 6400 Laptop isn't working correctly in kubuntu 6.10. It works fine in windows so i know they key is alright, but if i use it to put a captial letter it ignores/doesn't register the keypress and puts in a lower case character. If i hold the key down and press it a few times though it works, so im not sure whats up!

Any ideas folks?

You have a bad keyboard or dirt in your right shift key?

One key not working in Linux but working in Windows---seems highly unlikely. I cannot contruct a postulate for what might cause this.

Far more likely that it is just an intermittent issue.
