RH9 ona readonly drive.. possible?

Hello...
Is it possible to have a copy of RH9 work on a readonly disk? I can spare a seperate disk for the swap. I just want to make sure that nothing is wrotten to the main disk where linux is running. What all programs/services require read/write disk? so i cna install them on the seperate disk.
Thanks

Rohan

Well I suppose you could do a search for programs that require read and write since everything is permission based.
