RH 9.0 instalation problem

Hi!
I used a RH 7.2 distribution and I decided to install the RH 9.0. When the packages are installing I have got a message that there is a fatal error caused by a dirty CD, hard drive free space, or hardware problem and then only way is to reboot. I cann't finish installation process. I'm able to copy the contents of the installation CD's to hard drive without any problems under Windows so I think that the CD's aren't damaged or dirty. I have also 5 GB free ext3 partition. I tried to download CD image once more and record it but it doesn't help. I tried to install AUROX 9.0 (palish distribution based on RH 9.0) and there is the same problem. I tried to turn of DMA (ide=nodma) but it also doesn't help. I think that there is a parameter passed to kernel during installation hdc=ide-scsi( hdc = CDROM) but I can't turn it off.
After failed RH 9.0 installation I performed a RH 7.2 installation without any problems but I want to have a 9.0. What should I do?

My hardware:
Abit BH6 (BX).
Celeton II 800MHz
448 MB RAM
60 GB Seagate (ext3 from 5GB to 10GB primary partition)
SB Live
GeForce 3 Ti 200

did you skip the CD check? Redhat can help you check if the CD is ok or not before the installation.

But better to check the MD5sum first before burning a CD. You can download the MD5sum file from where you got ur CD iso's. Then check it with k3b.
