RH 7.x installed but no sound or network

I just recently installed red hat 7.2 or 3, I forgot (Not at home right now).

*Just to comment, can the install get any EASIER!? lol. I was thinking it was going to be somewhat difficult, like people say linux noobs first install, but oh well.

1) Anyhow, here is where the noob-ness kicks in i guess. When it loads up, and it does that thing where it scrolls through all these checks and says 'OK' in green or 'FAILED' or something in red, there is a sound driver problem. I'm not using an extension card for sound, I'm using whats built right into the motherboard.

...my hardware list is at the bottom

No sound...?

As for the network. In windows I get DSL from my router (which has red hat as well -- runs router and firewall daemon).

3) I went to network configuration -> add device -> ethernet -> eth0 -> Intel(R) Pro 100. THen it gave me some error like could not initialize something or another, and I couldn't add my ethernet device. Again, I'm using the ethernet built right into my motherboard.

Again, hardware list at the bottom

Any ideas why this doesn't work?

trying running the "netconfig" program to see if that helps with your network card.

try running the the "sndconfig" program to get your sound working.

Please check /var/log/dmesg for any messages that occur at boot time referring to either your eth0 NIC or to your sound problem.
