restore linux
 
i have winxp and redhat 9 on my machine and with the help of grub i boot both the OS. but due to some reason i have so format my 'C' drive (i have 'c', 'd', 'e', 'f', 'g', 'h', 'i' dirves on my system) my lixux is on drive 'i' i have installed winxp but now i dont know how to restore my linux. right now i have no lilo or gurb on my system. please help me in this matter:scratch:

Go back through the install process of your linux build, there should be some type of restore or help function when you boot up. From there, see if there is an option for reinstalling grub. If not, get to a command line and run grub-install.

BTW:

This could be done by booting from the 1st CD of your Distro and use the rescue option
