resolution change in KDE SUSE 8
 

I've just installed SUSE 8 and can't seem to get the screen resolution to change. Yast accepts the changes and all seems well, but the resolution just stays at 640x480. We've rebooted, no effect, we've tried to make 1024x768 the only resolution.... no effect. HELP.....

Try typing SaX2 at the command prompt
then configure your monitor at an appropriate refresh rate and resolution. DO NOT DO ANY VALUES YOUR MONITOR CAN'T HANDLE, YOU WILL PERMANATELY SCREW UP YOUR MONITOR AND MAKE IT UNUSABLE. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THE LIMITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
