Resizing pictures

I have about 200 pictures at 2272X1704 and I want to resize them to 1024X768. But I don't want to do one by one. Does anyone know if I can do this with Gimp or some other software?

TIA,
Daniel Carneiro.

I do believe http://www.imagemagick.org/ can do what your looking for.. and in most cases its already installed with most standard distros.

As tricky said ... ImageMagick is the
name of the suite. The tool you are
after is called convert..
Code:

man convert
for details

If you search the forums for convert
you'll find a brief explanation by one
of the other mods, too :)

Cheers,
Tink
