Repeating key strokes
 

Now I belive that in Red Hat 8.0 there is a problem with this in the terminal.

I have a Toshiba Satellite running RH 8.0 (also tried RH 7.3) on a P4 2.0GHz, 512MB RAM, 10GB partition.

For some reason when I type fast even sometimes when I type slow at some random keystroke the character repeats on any program I run (i.e. Mozillla, emacs, vi, netscaape .. ect)

Any suggestions would be great!

Ok just incase any other newbie comes across this problem:

Solution that fixed mine...

in RH 8.0

in the file /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config

uncomment the line under keyboard section:

Option "XkbDisable"

restart X and the repeating problem is gone... well at least it was for me!
