Removing Linux from my computer

Hi,

I installed SuSE 9.1 on my computer a while back, but have since gone to university. As I am now sort of networking my house, I was wanting to remove Linux from the family computer as it confuses my parents and makes the computer load slower because of the boot up screen. I've recently got hold of a second-hand computer, so figured I'd install Linux on this and then link the two computers together.

Question - how do I uninstall the Linux from my existing computer? It has Windows 98SE and I installed Linux on a new hard drive, which was partitioned into Windows and Linux (a rough 9:1 ratio, linux:windows). The existing 'C' drive was not partitioned.

Many thanks,

Matt.

Hi,
If you just want to get rid of the Linux boot menu, boot up with a Win98 or WinME boot floppy and type: fdisk /mbr .

If you also want to get rid of the Linux partition, boot up with a Linux livecd like Knoppix.
Un-mount everything with the command: umount -a
Then, use qtparted to remove the linux partitions. Don't forget to commit changes. Then, you could resize the Win98 partition to use up the free space.
