remove the modules

Hi.... I want some information about kernel modules...

The kernel feautures that i compile as module produces the appropriate modules... If i remove some feautures of the kernel then the make module command would also remove the appropriate modules...?

My question derives from the fact that i have removed the ipv6 support but the ipv6 module is still there..
Have a nice day

Where are you seeing the ipv6 module? Are you saying its actually loaded after not compiling support in your kernel? Better details get better replies.

Well, the files it uses to compile have to go somewhere, doesn't mean its there running though.. do an lsmod and make sure you don't see it running.. etc.

Try to load the module and see what happens?
