Remove GRUB or LILO Boot screen

Is it possible to remove the boot screen from LILO or GRUB. Suse is the only OS on my system and i don't need the boot options screen. I know that i can't remove the boot loader, and i don't want to set the time out to a really low value, because then it just flashes the screen and it looks really bad (yes, im picky). I just want my sys to boot up and go straight to the kdm screen without the grub screen coming up.

In grub set hiddenmenu.

The Grub Manual has all the details.

Yes in that file ( which is really /boot/grub/menu.lst why some distros screw around with the I don't know ).

Anywhere at the top. just on a line of its own, I'd also specify a timeout of say 2 seconds. If you need to get access to the boot menu ( for emergencies etc. ) you just have to press escape during the timeout, and your back to the menu.

Trust me, this can be a life saver.
