Remote administration of Linux box


Hi
I have an environement where I have several servers, a mix of both Windows and variouse linux flavours.
How can I easilly administrer the linux boxes as easy as possible? On Windows I use RDP, but what are the opttions in Linux?

ssh. If you feel you need anything else, you're not a sysadmin.

This is quite odd question:
since you already have a setup running (thus also under control)..

anyway:
For servers, SSH is the default way to connect to the Linux machines, to do maintenance/setup/configurations etc.
Console based (like the cmd in windows).

And if there is a graphical desktop running on them (why in the world would one run that on a server? it's not needed, it takes huge amounts of resources, and introduces more bugs/exploits) you could configure VNC there, so you can connect through VNC to the linux machines. (be sure that your firewall is setup correctly though, otherwise everyone can connect :P. And vnc passwords are in plaintext tranfer, not encrypted by default. SSH is encrypted though.

Well, I also have a few boxes where I have to run X, but these are not servers. These are workstations. So here I guess VNC through ssh would be an option to make sure the connection is secure?
